What are Typical Caregiver Hours?
ElderCare 4 Families continues to be flexible when scheduling hours for caregivers. We work hard to provide customized schedules for each caregiver based on the hours they request. Our Care Coordinators work closely with staff. Keeping them updated with any changes to personal schedules or any life events that might occur is crucial so they can provide you with the best hours to fit your lifestyle!
What Salary Can a Caregiver Expect?
We aim to hire the best - we pay the best – we care the most! ElderCare 4 Families had a number of our best caregivers that made $40,000 last year. We pay based on skill, availability and performance. We guarantee hours and pay overtime to some of our best caregivers who want and have earned overtime opportunities!
Finding The Perfect Match
ElderCare 4 Families matches our clients and caregivers based on many things – client needs, caregivers skills, personalities, drivings distances and many other things. We encourage our caregivers to let us know if their client is not a good fit for them. We ask that they let us know why it is not a good fit so the next client is a better match. The caregiver will be pulled from the shifts and we will find them new work!
Working With Elder Care Coordinators
Our Elder Care team is made up of multiple Care Coordinators. If a caregiver has made all attempts in good faith to work out a relationship with a particular staff member and it is still not working, we will give them the opportunity to work with another member of our staff. It is important to us that we maintain open and respectful communication among all staff members.
Yearly Wage Increases and Bonuses
Typically our process is to perform an on site 90 day review of all employees' performances and an in-house review of their punctuality and dependability. We then review each employee every year in the same manner. Based on performance, all caregivers and staff are eligible for a pay increase or a bonus from these reviews.
Benefits Offered
The benefits we offer are major medical, dental, vision and a matching Simple IRA to all employees who work 30 hours or more per week. We also add bonus dollars to pay checks for tenure, compliments and thank yous to all of our staff! Caregivers who qualify for Elder Care Expert status will earn paid vacation and paid sick time as well.
Referral Program
We have a referral program which pays money for caregiver referrals AND client referrals. Get your amazing caregiver friends and family members to join our team and earn $$$. See a client in need of our amazing elder care services, refer them to us and when they begin Elder Care you will earn $$$!
Shift Changes
ElderCare 4 Families offers work based on a client/caregiver match criteria. Our caregivers are able to take and decline work as they see fit. We do encourage open communication about why shifts are not wanted and what would work best for our caregivers so that our staff is better able to serve caregivers' and clients' needs.
Weekly Pay
Our entire staff is paid every Friday for the work performed the previous week.
Direct Deposit vs. Check
Our staff has the option of providing ElderCare 4 Families with banking information to set up pay to be deposited directly into you account every Friday. The other option is to come into our office to pick up a check every Friday.
